Ways to Pray for Arkansas this April

Arkansas For Christ shares this monthly regional prayer guide put together by the CityChurch Network to coordinate united prayer in Arkansas and as a resource for Leader Prayer Groups. Please partner with us in prayer for Arkansas by taking time to pray through this passage and apply it to the areas of need in your life and community. Feel free to print and distribute this prayer guide as needed. Download here.

To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. – 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

Lord, let this prayer be true of us, our families and our communities. We approach Your throne with confidence asking…

… That by Your grace we would be made worthy of Your calling.

  • We acknowledge our dependence and surrender to You.
  • Help us to put aside distractions.
  • Bring our character into alignment with our calling.

…That we would resolve to do good works.

  • Help us to be faithful in small acts of kindness.
  • Mobilize us to best serve our city.
  • Give us creative solutions to complex problems.

… That we would be empowered for works of faith.

  • Help us to rely on the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • Provide for our needs to accomplish You work.
  • Demonstrate Your power in our midst; do what only You can do!

… That Jesus would be glorified in us.

  • Bring many to salvation in our city.
  • Make our lives pure offerings of worship.
  • Be exalted far above our own platforms.

… That You would revive us.

  • Remove everything that hinders Your love in us.
  • Bring our churches closer together as Your body.
  • Transform our city through the power of the Gospel.

In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
